He's running both the Cup (if they can get in on speed) and truck races in Talladega and Kansas. Come on Bud. You can kick everyone's butt.

TEAM NEWS: Whitt To Practice And Qualify; Jon Wood To Drive at KansasTruckSeries.com A game plan has been put into place for both Wood Brothers race teams. Jon Wood will practice and qualify the Wood Brothers no. 21 Honey Buns Ford Fusion at Talladega Saturday morning. Following qualifying, Jon will catch a waiting plane to Kansas in hopes of making it on time for the 5:00pm CT start of the Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at the Kansas Speedway. The No. 21 Air Force Ford F-150 truck team has secured the driving services of Brandon Whitt to practice and qualify the truck. Brandon is a third-generation race car driver who won the Rookie of the Year title in NASCAR's Southwest Touring division in 2002. Brandon made his Craftsman Truck Series debut in 2003, driving the #38 Chevrolet Silverado for Clean Line Motorsports, a team his father owned. I hope it works out. Have a fantastic weekend Jon!!!

the only real drag about this is that, out of my drivers (yates racing, #31 burton, and #21 wood), only one of them (burton) will have a decent merch trailer...since yates' cars are both mostly unsponsored and wood isn't really a full-time driver.
oh well, at least it'll save me some money.

for the cup race, according to what i heard on the scanner, they qualified the car with lightweight oil and gearbox fluid. this wouldnt hold up for 500 miles, so they had to bring him in to change the fluids. that's why he did so bad.

Jon's running Richmond. Home track advantage (and it's an impound race).
Come on Jon!
